Hakata Ippudo Daimyo Honten

Founded in Fukuoka in 1985, Ippudo is now a global ramen chain with shops in 14 countries and regions around the globe, including New York (USA), Paris, France and London, England. The tonkotsu (pork bone) soup is simmered for 18 hours in a specially made pot then left to cook at an even lower temperature for another day, making for a rich yet light soup that people the world over love. The Daimyo Honten is Ippudo’s first shop, and it attracts many ramen fans on a daily basis who come for the Ganso Shiromaru Motoaji (Shiromaru Classic) and Ganso Akamaru Shinaji (Akamaru Modern), which are only available there. The creamy potage-style soup is a reproduction of the soup that the shop served when it first opened. You won’t want to miss these delightfully rich ramen that you won’t find anywhere else.
