Famous hot pot restaurant Toriden has forayed into fish with Uoden, which opened in June inside a new hotel near Hakata Station. Here you can enjoy seafood from the Genkai Sea with local veggies. The dinner courses start with cold press Yame gyokuro (shaded green tea) before moving on to sake-steamed seafood, fish nabe (hot pot), and sashimi. The nabe uses an original blend of broth, soy sauce, and citrus. The course ends with a freshly steamed wild red sea bream from Itoshima on a bed of rice. The service is bar-none. Private rooms are also available.
Menu: Genkaijima course (cold press gyokuro, sake-steamed seafood, assorted sashimi, fish porridge, steamed sea bream and rice, dessert) ¥5,800, ¥8,000 and ¥10,000, cold press gyokuro (shaded green tea) ¥800, sake ¥700~, beer ¥550~, wine ¥750~, breakfast buffet ¥1,800
