Located in the Nakasu-Kawabata Shopping Street not far from Canal City, Seimonbarai takes its name from the term used in old Hakata for a customer appreciation sale. Fresh fish, some caught locally and some from other parts of Japan, can be enjoyed raw, grilled or broiled. The shop also serves up local delights including Itoshima roast beef, char-grilled free-range chicken and Hakata mentaiko. Other items include handmade croquettes and kushiyaki (skewers). The drink menu features a wide range of sake and wines, and the private rooms can accommodate groups of four to 20. Counter seats also available.
