Located in the Shintencho Shopping Arcade, Sushi Shogun is a standing sushi bar. There is no conveyor belt here, and the chefs, who are right in front of you, make sushi that starts from an unbelievable ¥75 per piece. Even high-grade sushi like otoro (fatty tuna belly) and Seki brand mackerel are only ¥400 per piece. What’s more, during lunchtime (11 am to 3 pm), you can order the special set which features eight pieces of sushi, one sushi roll and miso soup for just ¥580! The Sushi Shogun stand-and-eat style hearkens back to when sushi originated in the Edo era as a kind of fast food. Why not stop by and try all kinds of sushi at great prices?
