Fukuoka Anpanman Children’s Museum in Mall – Opens!

The fifth in all of Japan (following Nagoya, Sendai, Kobe and Yokohama) and the first in Kyushu, Anpanman Museum opens in Fukuoka on April 18, 2014. The space is huge, about 8,790 square meters and occupies both the 5th and the 6th floor of the Hakata Riverain Building. The glass atrium lets sunshine in and gives a very outdoor-like experience minus the rain and other bad weather. There’s a main stage with scheduled performances, slides, sandboxes, many displays and of course lots of shops and places to buy food or sit down for a meal. This will definitely become a popular place for families living in or visiting Fukuoka. Scroll down to see photos taken by Fukuoka Now at the pre-opening press event on April 15, 2014. Enjoy Anpanman’s messages: “Love and courage”, “kindness and friendship” and “100 times genki (energy)”.
