Entertaining and informing foreigners since 1998, Fukuoka Now celebrates its 15th year in 2013. In the first issue of the new year, we warm up with a cuppa green tea, learn about healthy Chinese cuisine at Yakuzen Tenchi-Reishin, and chat with Canadian artist in Fukuoka – Michelle Zacharias. In this month’s reader opinion piece “Whippersnappers are Saving the World”, Matt Simpson (USA) calls Japanese school students “environmental messaihs” and urges adults to take a leaf out of their books.
