July 2015 Fukuoka Now

Big changes this month! In our 199th issue – one shy of 200 – we’ve switched up the magazine from English and Japanese to English, Chinese and Korean. Chinese and Korean speaking visitors to Fukuoka continue to increase, and so from this issue onwards we’ve decided to cater to them too. Aside from the languages, we’ve added a whole new section: This Month. Every month, This Month will introduce a seasonal spot in town, a recommended cafe and a little-known, but delicious noodle shop. It’s not all change though, we’ve kept some of the classics too. The Gourmet page continues to introduce our Editor’s “featured restaurant” and we have detailed information on eight up and coming events, but with larger photos and Chinese and Korean text. Finally, we have a special feature on the Yamakasa Festival which can be read in full on our website at http://bit.ly/yama-2015. With this renewal we hope to continue to be “your guide to the best of Fukuoka!”, but in two more languages and for a whole load more people.
