A new landmark in Fukuoka City opens tomorrow inside Suijo Park.
The park, which is located along Meiji-dori Ave. in central Tenjin, was established in 1924 to commemorate the marriage of Emperor Hirohito, making it one of the most historic parks in the city. Suijo Park means “a park above the water” and refers to the shape of the park, which protrudes into the Nakagawa River.
The recently completed building, known as “Ship’s Garden”, is home to two restaurants, Bills Fukuoka and Seikeitsai Noodles & Chinois. Both restaurants have terrace seating and wonderful views. The area in front of the building and the rooftop are open to the public between 6am and midnight.
Bill himself was at the opening!
