1.14 Trillion Yen in Benefits from Car Production Boost
The Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry estimates that raising annual auto production in Kyushu to 1.5 million units from the current one million units would have a regional economic benefit of 1.14 trillion yen. Additionally, if the part procurement rate for the region were raised to 70% from the current 50%, it would result in a further 370 billion yen benefit. The calculations include the impact of greater population and employment on local real estate and consumption.
