By the end of 2012, the total number of registered lawyers in Fukuoka is estimated to reach a record 1,000. The current number is 980 and another 50 more lawyers are expected to become registered this month. This increase is particularly welcomed by people in rural areas of Fukuoka that need help from legal professionals. Even though the total number of legal professionals (including lawyers, judges and investigators) has doubled since the year 2000. These legal positions are currently the most sought-after of all professions in Fukuoka City.
