13 New COVID-19 Cases in One Day in Fukuoka

On July 16, Fukuoka City announced 13 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection ranking as the largest single-day recording since the lifting of the state of emergency in May. The mayor, Soichiro Takashima, reminded the residents of the importance of sticking to preventative actions. The new patients are between 10 ~ 59 years old. One of them recently visited Tokyo. The cumulative total for the city between July 7 and July 16 stands at 46. Also, three more cases were found in other parts of Fukuoka Prefecture on Jul. 16.
