24-meter-long Forest Xylophone is on Display in Tenjin

A giant xylophone made of thinned wood from Kama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is on display in Fukuoka City inside ACROS Fukuoka in Tenjin. The giant xylophone was created ten years ago using lumber from thinning in Kama City, and the wooden balls roll over about 200 long and short keys to produce a beautiful tone. It was featured in a television commercial for a mobile phone carrier. The xylophone consists of three blocks and is approximately 24 meters long. The various contraptions play Bach’s masterpiece “Cantata” for about 1 minute and 40 seconds. Source: ACROS Fukuoka / TNChttps://youtu.be/C_CDLBTJD4M
