Yoshitomi Town offered one of its furusato taxation gifts for only ¥1 by mistake. On Mar. 7, the smallest town in Fukuoka Prefecture listed a mizutaki chicken hot-pot set online as a hometown taxation option. The correct price was ¥10,000. Five hundred sets of the mistakenly priced gift set were sold within two minutes. One customer ordered 101 sets! The town canceled all those orders and apologized to the purchasers via email.
