Dongseo University and the Busan Development Institute, a think tank in that South Korean city, signed an agreement on the 18th to establish the provisionally named Busan-Fukuoka Supranational Business Institute for research in to the economy and local characteristics of the region encompassing the southeastern Korean Peninsula and Kyushu. The objective is to train the personnel with the ability to create and work in a supranational economic sphere in the region. The Research Center for Korean Studies at Kyushu University in Fukuoka City will lend a hand to create the curriculum.
