Airport Hangar Camping Experience Launches at Kitakyushu Airport

Airline StarFlyer and travel agency JTB announced a new overnight program allowing guests to camp inside an aircraft hangar at Kitakyushu Airport. The experience, scheduled once a month from April through June, will let participants sleep in tents set up beside an Airbus A320 inside StarFlyer’s maintenance hangar—an area normally restricted to authorized personnel. Each event will host up to 12 groups on a first-come basis. Prices start at ¥330,000 for a single occupant or ¥192,500 per person for two people sharing a tent. The program includes a hangar tour led by maintenance staff, a talk session with airline employees, meals, and access to a wood-fired trailer sauna. Guests will also be able to watch aircraft being moved into the hangar at night and back out the next morning. Source: Starflyer Base Kitakyushu
