Alain Ducasse opens first Kyushu chocolate shop

Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse opened its first Kyushu shop at Iwataya in Tenjin on Sep. 16. The outlet, on the department store’s second basement level, is the brand’s eighth in Japan. It offers chocolates and sweets, including an exclusive Amaou strawberry product, along with space to eat on site. The opening follows La Maison du Chocolat’s arrival at Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin in July. Iwataya now carries six luxury chocolate brands and expects to attract customers from Japan and overseas.
