Ambitious Video Art Project in Canal City Repaired

The 1996-installed video art by the Korean artist, Nam June Paik, is finally working again inside Canal City Hakata. Titled “Fuku/Luck, Fuku=Luck, Matrix,” the 5.4 m x 10.7 m art installment predicted how upcoming information society would bring pleasure to people through visual images shown on 180 CRT televisions. Over the years, many of those screens stopped functioning, and the four-year repair project was finally completed last month in Korea. Source: Canal City
