A 35-year-old woman residing in Kitakyushu City was arrested on the 15th, suspected of selling merchandise bearing logos closely resembling those from popular anime series. Yuuki Kagami, an unemployed resident of Yahatanishi Ward in Kitakyushu City, is accused of selling two items, including a cushion cover, between February and August last year. These items were imprinted with symbols similar to the logos of “Demon Slayer” and “SPYxFAMILY,” and sold for a combined total of approximately 4,000 yen. Moreover, she is suspected of possessing over 100 items, including shirts bearing similar logos, intended for sale. She denies the allegations, insisting she didn’t intend to infringe on any rights.
