Fukuoka will be abuzz for the next few months, with many international conventions and sporting events scheduled. Fukuoka City’s Convention Bureau is creating a group of 10,000 volunteer ‘City Supporters’ to help the some 30,000 visitors from over 100 countries participating. The international events scheduled include The SIU Congress (Sep 30~Oct 4), The 4th International Conference for Universal Design (Oct 12~14), The Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival Fukuoka (Oct 28~Nov 4), Orient and South East Asian Lions Club Forum (Nov 8~11).Volunteers do not have to speak English.
