APU Connects International Students With Regional Employers

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, hosted a networking event on December 17 connecting international students with regional companies seeking future hires. The event, co-organized with the Oita Trade Information Center of the Japan External Trade Organization, drew around 60 international students interested in working in Oita or elsewhere in Japan. About half of APU’s 6,600 students come from overseas, representing 119 countries and regions, and some face difficulties securing jobs before graduation. Following company presentations, students visited individual booths to ask about job duties, employment conditions, and internship opportunities. Source: Jetro
