Group Arrested for Stealing 160 Toy Items in Fukuoka

A group of four individuals, including three teenagers aged 17 to 19 and a 27-year-old man, were arrested for stealing 160 toys, including 120 Tomica miniature cars, from stores in Fukuoka. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at ¥280,000. Police believe the toys were stolen between March and August from various discount stores and shopping centers. The group allegedly packed the toys into bags and carts before selling them to recycling shops. They confessed to the crime, stating they were motivated by advertisements offering high prices for used toys. Authorities are investigating similar cases in the area, suspecting a growing trend in theft for resale. Source: NHK
