The Technology Development and Exchange Center has been opened in the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park in that city. The facility will promote the technical development of semiconductors and software used in automobiles, and train the technicians who will conduct that development. One of the first tenants is the Kitakyushu R&D arm of Aisin Comcruise, a Nagoya-based developer of bundled software.
