Bank of Fukuoka Takes Top Ranking
An investigation by the Nishinippon Shimbun shows that as of last December, the Bank of Fukuoka had the leading share for loans among financial institutions in northern Kyushu, jumping over the Nishi-Nippon City Bank. According to informed sources, the Bank of Fukuoka now has a 26.4% share of the market, up from 24.7% in the year-before period, while the Nishi-Nippon City Bank’s share is 26.1%. It is the first time the bank has been ranked #1 since the Nishi-Nippon Bank and the Fukuoka City Bank merged in October 2004 to become the Nishi-Nippon City Bank.
