Boathouse Ohori Park has been awarded one of the Grand Prizes in the 28th Fukuoka Prefecture Architectural Award for Artistic Urban Design. This competition honors buildings which enhance their surroundings as well as reflecting the personality and spirit of Fukuoka Prefecture; it is divided into two subcategories, the Grand Prize and the Outstanding Performance Award, and each of these subcategories has two winners. Boathouse Ohori Park, which looks onto Ohori Park’s lake, will be officially awarded the prize at a ceremony scheduled for May 21 (Sat.). Source: Fukuoka Pref. website, 1/20
