Breaking Traditions: Higashi Fukuoka High Rolls Out Co-ed Uniforms

Higashi Fukuoka High School, transitioning to coeducation next year, has unveiled new uniforms. The designs, incorporating the school’s moss green color, were chosen through extensive student involvement, receiving feedback from about 2,600 respondents. The new uniforms, replacing the traditional gakuran, are set to enhance the school’s inclusive environment while maintaining its heritage. The introduction of summer uniforms and a fashion show at the June school festival will further showcase the new attire. Source: Higashi Fukuoka High School / KBC
