Camellia Oil to be Used for Goto Promotion
Nagasaki Prefecture has announced a tie-up with cosmetics manufacturer Shiseido to use the popular hair care brand Tsubaki, which has camellia oil from Goto as one of the ingredients, to promote Chinese tourism to the island for beauty treatments. Tsubaki, first marketed in 2006, is one Shiseido’s leading brands, with shipments reaching 260 million units as of last summer. The company says that tie-ups with a local government for overseas promotions are unusual.
