The Fukuoka Stock Exchange has reached a critical period in its survival, the Nishinippon Shimbun reports. Stock trading is being concentrated in the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and the number of trades and the listed companies on the FSE are declining. The struggle to remain viable will grow more intense when the TSE and the Osaka Stock Exchange merge operations next January.
