Canal City Hakata will celebrate Lunar New Year 2025 with a special campaign, “Welcome CANAL Lunar New Year 2025,” from January 28 to February 4. The eight-day event aims to enhance hospitality for international visitors through activities such as a prize lottery and special discounts via WeChat Pay.
Spring Festival Lottery
Visitors who spend ¥10,000 or more (including combined receipts) at participating stores and present their passport can participate in a lottery at the Center Walk 2F counter from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Prizes
include:
• Canal City shopping vouchers worth ¥10,000
• Relaxation kits (e.g., hot eye masks)
• Fukuoka specialty confectionery sets
• Coupons for Tall-sized coffee at Tully’s Coffee
• Instant noodle sets
• Participation prizes: free play vouchers for Taito Station crane games and ¥200 discount coupons for Canal City restaurants.
WeChat Pay Discount Campaign
Visitors using WeChat Pay at participating stores can receive a ¥1,000 (50 RMB) discount for purchases over ¥15,000 (750 RMB). The offer is limited to the first 350 customers and runs from January 28 to February 4. To redeem, customers must scan a QR code in the facility to obtain a coupon, which is valid for one-time use. Participating stores include Matsumoto Kiyoshi, The Gundam Base Fukuoka, GAP, Onitsuka Tiger, and more.
Multilingual Concierge Counter
A special concierge counter will be available during the campaign at the Center Walk 2F (in front of MOUSSY). Staff will provide assistance in multiple languages regarding the lottery, WeChat Pay campaign, and general facility information.
Duty-Free Shopping and Services
Canal City Hakata features 85 duty-free stores, including 58 affiliated with GLOBAL TAX FREE. A dedicated duty-free counter is located on Center Walk B1F and operates from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM, offering consolidated tax-free purchase services.
