With a motto of “Not going, Not coming, Not inviting,” Nichinan City in Miyazaki is taking a unique initiative to discourage people from returning to their hometowns during the Golden Week holidays. To those who cancel their plans to visit family in Nichinan between Apr. 29 to May 10, the city will deliver their famous ‘Miyazaki Kanjuku (fully ripe) Mango’ for free. Fifty sets are available, and the applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. Source: Nichinan City
