It has come to light that the monthly passes for the bicycle parking under Kego Park are actually ¥400 more expensive than if you pay as you go. It turns out City Hall failed to adjust the cost of the passes when it lowered one-time parking fees four years ago. An official at City Hall said the price of the passes for the Kego Park lot cannot be changed because it is the standard price for all municipal bicycle parking lots. As it stands, if you use the Kego Park lot everyday for 30 days, you will pay ¥1500, but monthly passes cost ¥1900. Nishinippon Shimbun 8/13
