The city of Ukiha has created what it calls a child-rearing map that provides information on the systems and procedures of facilities and organizations supporting child-rearing, including hospitals and child care centers, and shows their location on the map. The city has printed 1,000 copies of the A5-sized, 120-page map, and is distributing them free of charge at related sites. The publication was created based on the opinions and information received from questionnaires distributed to mothers at nursery schools throughout the city.
