COVID-19 Oxygen Station Goes Unused in Fukuoka

Oxygen stations’ in Fukuoka Prefecture have remained unused since deployment on Aug. 31. The facility’s potential to improve safety for patients urgently seeking hospital beds has been highly valued by the national and local governments. Governor Hattori is eager to open more oxi stations in Kitakyushu and Kurume in preparation for a potential “sixth wave” of infections. Oxygen stations in Okinawa Prefecture were almost overloaded as the regional occupancy rate of secured hospital beds hit 80% in August. Source: Okinawa Times
