Entries are now open for a cross-country race to be held at Hiraodai in Kitakyushu City on Mar. 17. It’s the 23rd time for the race to be held, with 1,700 runners participating in 2012. There are four courses to choose from: 10km mountainous course, 3km park course for Junior High Students, 1.6km park course for Elementary School Students, and 1.2km park course for kindergarteners. Kentaro Nakamoto will be participating as a guest runner. Nakamoto came in at sixth place in the 2012 London Olympic Marathon. Participation fees are as follows: Adult: ¥2,000, HS: ¥1,000, JS: ¥500, ES: ¥200, Kindergarteners: ¥100.
