Sunset Live 2020 has launched a crowdfunding project to create and stream ‘Sunset “Roots” Live 2020.’ Since the 28th edition of the popular outdoor music festival was canceled due to the novel coronavirus’ impact, the organizer is trying to overcome the financial challenge to produce a live music project to mark the end of the summer. The online project will feature music performances against the beautiful backdrop of nature in Itoshima, a Sunset Live retrospective, and background stories of the annual event. Collected funds (¥3,000~) will be used for production and partially cover financial losses from the event cancelation. The project targets to gather ¥6 million by the end of September.
