Cyber University of Fukuoka City, the only four-year university in the country that offers all its courses on-line and conducts no classroom instruction, will require all students to have identification with full-face photographs starting this school year. The Ministry of Education said the school was negligent in the confirmation of student identities, which could lead to impersonation. The school will now require students to purchase a camera for PCs, which cost several thousand yen retail. The students will be required to turn on the camera to receive classes or submit reports. It also will be operated at pre-set intervals during tests.
