Oita Prefecture-based minicar and compact car manufacturer Daihatsu Kyushu produced its one millionth auto at its Oita plant. The factory opened in November 2004, so it took just four years and three months to reach that level. The company expects to build 320,000 autos this year, down by 10,000 units from its original projections, due to the economic downturn.
