Daihatsu Motor Co. revealed that the opening of the vehicle design and development center its subsidiary, Daihatsu Kyushu, had planned in Fukuoka City for April 2010 has been pushed back to at least April 2011. The funds to be invested in the center, to be located next to Kyushu University, are being held back due to the company’s efforts to cut down expenses in an adverse business climate. Daihatsu said the center would definitely open, however.
