Alibaba Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., which operates Alibaba, China’s largest Internet transaction site for commercial businesses, agreed on November 11 with Fukuoka Prefecture, which is striving to promote overseas transactions for local small and medium-sized business, to set up an area on their site for handling the products offered by those companies. That area will be established before the end of the business year. It is the first time that an exclusive area such as this has been set up on Alibaba site.
