Kyushu Electric Power released the results for the volume of power sales during June that showed a 1.5% year-on-year increase to 6.59 billion kWh. It was the first year-on-year increase in two months. Demand among households slid by 0.3% to 4.43 billion kWh. Despite this minimal decline, Kyushu Electric said their calls to cooperate in cutting back on excessive power consumption were having an effect because the average air temperatures during the month were slightly higher than those last June.
