Fukuoka Hosts Digital Stamp Rally Around Ohori Park

Fukuoka City’s first “Ohori Park Digital Stamp Rally” encourages locals and visitors to explore the vibrant shopping streets surrounding Ohori Park while collecting digital stamps to earn rewards. The event, part of Fukuoka’s “Shopping District and Tourism Collaboration Project,” connects six shopping districts with Ohori Park’s many visitors, helping them discover local businesses and hidden attractions around the city.

The rally, running through March 23, features six participating shopping districts: Tojinmachi, Nishi Park, Otemon, Minato, Ropponmatsu, and Seiryo-no-Machi (Ropponmatsu 421). Participants can collect digital stamps by scanning QR codes at four designated locations, including Fukuoka Now’s very own Fukuoka Now Park Studio, located on the west side of Ohori Park’s boathouse. The Fukuoka Now Park Studio serves as a QR scanning spot exclusively on Tuesdays and Fridays, where participants can visit to collect a stamp.

Other stamp locations include near the exits of Ropponmatsu and Ohori Koen subway stations and on the first floor of the Fukuoka Art Museum. Participants who collect at least two stamps and complete a survey will receive a ¥500 coupon redeemable at 24 local shops, including popular options like Maruken Udon, Japanese dining spot Ugumitei, Nishikoen Bathhouse, Hirano Flower Shop, SHIROUZU COFFEE (Minato branch), and Ropponpon diner. Each participant may receive one coupon.

Tomoko Miyagawa of Fukuoka’s Local Industry Support Division explained that the rally aims to offer tourists an immersive Fukuoka experience while giving locals a chance to uncover hidden spots within their own city. The event is free to join, and updates will be shared on the official Instagram page. The rally will continue until March 23 or until all coupons are distributed. Source: Yokanavi
