Don Quijote Opens Second Tenjin Store

Don Quijote opened a second store in Fukuoka’s Tenjin district on June 10, just 170 meters from its existing flagship location. The new Tenjin Nishidori store was designed to accommodate growing inbound tourism and reduce congestion at the original outlet, where long checkout lines have become common. The store features multilingual signage and a product selection aimed at international visitors, including cosmetics, daily necessities, matcha products, and local souvenirs. It also includes a branch of Itoshima confectionery brand Ito King and offers merchandise previously available only at the flagship store. Company officials said the two-store strategy is intended to improve the shopping experience and distribute customer traffic more effectively as visitor numbers continue to rise in central Fukuoka.
