Research conducted by Fukuoka City concerning the durability of schools, hospitals, and other public buildings found 63 buildings which are susceptible to collapse in an earthquake above seismic intensity six. The report included 16 hospitals, five municipal halls, and six nurseries and schools to be below the safety threshold. Local governments plan to take measures to have these buildings strengthened or rebuilt. Source: NHK, 3/30
