Eishinkan Opens Fukuoka’s First City-Backed Green School Building

Cram school operator Eishinkan has completed a large-scale greening project on its Tenjin headquarters in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, making it the first building under the city’s newly launched Green Building Promotion Program, according to Eishinkan. On June 15, the company unveiled plant-covered walls and a rooftop garden at its No. 3 building along Watanabe-dori. The greenery is visible from inside classrooms and aims to provide a calming atmosphere for students. Fukuoka City subsidized half of the project’s cost as part of its fiscal 2025 initiative to encourage urban greening. Eishinkan expressed hopes that the natural environment will support students’ emotional and mental well-being. Source: Eishinkan
