The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) held a press conference in the evening on July 6 to announce heavy rain emergency warnings for prefectures of Fukuoka, Saga, and Nagasaki. Over-300 mm rainfall is forecasted between 7/6 18:00 ~ 7/7 18:00 in those prefectures. Residents, especially those living near rivers and mountain-sides, are strongly advised to protect their lives, including evacuating to safer locations. The warning might issue in Kumamoto and Oita soon, depending on the situation of the rain.

Fukuoka – Omuta City, Yame City, Miyama City, and Hirokawa Town
Nagasaki – Nagasaki City, Nagayo Town, Togitsu Town, Isahaya City, Omura City, Saikai City, and Higashisonogi Town
Saga – Saga City, Takeo City, Shiraishi Town, Kashima City, Ureshino City, and Tara Town
Some supermarkets and convenience stores are currently closed in Fukuoka Prefecture and Kumamoto Prefecture. Aeon Shopping Centers in Ogori City and Oki Town are closed as of evening on July 6. Also, in some parts of Kumamoto, nine shops of Seven-Eleven, Familymart, and Lawson are closed due to flooding. More closures and shortened shop hours are temporarily adopted at stores across Kyushu.
