Enecology Month will start on October 1 in Kyushu, in which a special committee formed by the Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry and local governments in the region will hold different events to promote the awareness of energy conservation and ecology. One of the events will be a debate between 12 junior high school and high school teams on a carbon tax to be held in Fukuoka City. There will also be an eco-car fair in Kitakyushu.
