Kitakyushu-based taxi company, Daiichi Kotsu Sangyo, began an EV taxi project in collaboration with Kyushu Electric Power (Kyuden) and Sumitomo Corporation. The project’s first phase introduced one electric vehicle in Fukuoka City, a car capable of traveling 458 kilometers on a single charge.
