Moji Customs in Kitakyushu reports that the volume of fertilizer exports passing through its jurisdiction in 2007 climbed 14.0% from the previous year to 380,000 tons. This was worth 5.2 billion yen, a 37.9% jump. It was the first time the value of fertilizer exports had exceeded the 5 billion yen level in 10 years. It was also the 22nd consecutive year that fertilizer exports in their jurisdiction were the highest in the country.
