On May 22 the committee for the 19th FINA World Championships 2021 Fukuoka revealed an outline of the tournament and officially announced the hosting of the 19th FINA World Masters Championships in Fukuoka. The Masters’ tournament attracts approximately 10,000 swimmers including amateurs and former athletes from about one hundred countries. While three categories, including swimming, will take place in Fukuoka City, Kagoshima City will host artistic swimming competitions and Kumamoto City will host water polo games. The mayors of the cities showed eagerness to promote “all Kyushu” tourism by attracting the attention of international tourists to all the three cities through this event.
