FINA World Championships in Fukuoka Rescheduled for May 2020

FINA announced new dates for the 19th FINA World Championships to be held in Fukuoka City. The tournament, which was postponed due to the new coronavirus pandemic, has been rescheduled for seventeen days between May 13 ~ 29 in 2022. The organization avoided the dates to overlap other international races, such as the 2022 Asian Game in Hangzhou, China. Relocation of even some of the races or events was not was mentioned. The 19th FINA World Masters Championships has also been rescheduled for May 31 ~ June 9, 2022. FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) is the world governing body for the six aquatic disciplines: swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, open water swimming, and high diving.
