The children of Okawa city, known for its woodworking, are being introduced to the Finland-originated wooden sport “Mölkky”. The local Lions Club, in support of a city initiative to promote health and community interaction, has donated sets of the game’s equipment to 11 schools in the city. Students at Kimuro Elementary School received the gear from club members and expressed excitement about playing the game. The club is also planning a Mölkky tournament in June to further engage the children. Source: Okawa City official Twitter / NHK
